Well it has been a while since I’ve posted or even participated in this little site of mine and for that I apologize. It seems my wife and I have gone through some life changes and my focus was turned away for long time. We’ve had kids, talked about some things and we have continually tried to stay aware – aware of our emotions, feelings, surroundings and most importantly ourselves. I think we have both tried to live in the now and be…just be, whatever we decide to be at that particular moment in time. And it is because of these “musings” that I have come to a crossroads, I seem to have discovered a desire to push this site further, make it better, more informative, more supportive, more better(is that even English…lol). However, I don’t think I can do this alone, I will need the support and participation of everyone who visits this site and I hope that each of you find the time to make a difference in what could become our little place on the net.

I would like to see this site grow into the “go to” site for all things spiritual, psychic, metaphysical, new age, etc. I’m not sure how to restrict its focus to just one topic area, it really needs to be a site that people can depend upon to answer questions, questions I think we all have or have had at one point in time in our lives. I’m seeing book reviews, maybe a forum, a better MUCH presentation of psychic tests, we could even add psychic reviews, current events and news about spirituality, psychic and the metaphysical worlds, get some guest posters, do some interviews, like I’ve said, I don’t know where it will end up. But I do know that I want your participation.

I’ve created a mailing list with Mad Mimi and I plan on using this list as the sounding board for my ideas and anything else that I find cool along the way.  I’ll be sending updates and surveys to the list so that I can get everyone’s feedback on the changes and discover what everyone would really like to see or get from a site of this kind.  I know that I want a place to go to learn something new, have a community that supports its users and really tries to help in any way possible.  These are trying times we live in and dealing with life in general is tough enough.  So please sign up and be a part of something great, be a part of the transformation and be a part of our community.

 Whatever the site becomes then that is where it was supposed to be. I will be going through and making some design changes, upgrading some code, making it more presentable. Again, please note that I will also be sending out a survey to the mailing list and would appreciate your participation in deciding where we take this thing. Have you ever had a psychic premonition? Perhaps it was receiving a call from the person you were just thinking about, or an unsettling feeling that motivates you to change your schedule – only to discover later that you avoided misfortune by doing so? These, often brief, encounters with psychic abilities are more common than you may think.

That said, common on-line psychic tests are formatted to ask you a series of questions, or present images, of a psychic nature and compare your results to the probability of simply randomly answering questions. Test scores ranging above average probability generally indicate psychic ability. Additionally, most web sites give you the benefit of automatic scoring and immediate feedback.

Another helpful way of testing your psychic abilities is to begin keeping a journal of events (that you suspect to be psychic) for later examination. Quite often psychic moments are so brief, that they can be easily overlooked and forgotten. Events you may wish to record may include premonitions of events, whether through sudden flashes of insight or through dreams. Dreams can prove particularly useful as a “training ground” for psychic abilities. Your psychic journal should also document the instances of psychic events manifesting themselves in reality (these too can be fleeting). If your psychic abilities prove to be significant, they will become readily apparent through a review of your journal.

More advanced formal testing is often available in a clinical environment; these tests are usually conducted by academic institutions and their availability is usually announced by way of a request of participants. Your best course of action would be to contact these institutions directly. While these highly controlled tests usually result in greater accuracy, the stress of being in a clinical environment can possibly have a detrimental effect on your psychic abilities.

Outside of the traditional academic route, numerous psychic training programs provide excellent, and sometimes rigorous, opportunities to develop your psychic abilities at your own pace. When it comes to web sites, books, or programs, catering to the novice psychic, it is a buyer’s market and it is advisable to research your choices before committing to any one particular program. Regardless of your choice of venue, a commitment to improving your psychic abilities is a life improving activity that will benefit your personal and spiritual growth.

It took me years to notice it.  I would have these words pop into my head, my little inner voice would mention something and it was so random that I would disregard it.  As I progressed down the psychic path I began to realize that this was my clairaudience and I should have been listening!  It would often manifest itself as a single word like “cheeseburgers” and I would learn later that my wife had been thinking of having cheeseburgers all day.  When I started paying attention I noticed that these random events happened more often than I realized.

In my case, I receive random words and if I’m not careful they will slip through the normal clutter of thoughts running through my mind.  I’m especially aware during moments of quiet and meditation or in times of great duress.  It seems that during my normal day to day the messages get lost in my own internal conversations.  It is never ending work trying to keep up and recognizing my clairaudience and catching the messages as they arrive.

In developing my Clairaudience, I continue to use meditation as a tool.  Sometimes I take a recorder with me and record the voices I hear, the tone or even the volume of those voices.  If I bring a note pad, I will write down everything that comes to mind and note the same things as before.  Over the weeks and months I will compare notes and recordings and try to determine what is me and what is coming from the other side.  It is sometimes difficult but after practicing, it has become easier.   I begin to see the patterns, notice the tone or even the sound of the voices that I hear and these things help me filter the messages during my everyday life.

One thing I find interesting is the number of people in mental institutions that claim they hear voices then speak and act upon what they hear.  I guess my question is are they truly mentally disabled or simply more aware than the we are?  It is a mystery and one I often consider as I continue to grow more and more attune with my higher self.  It makes me wonder who is really the disabled?  Am I the one with the problem?  Society has taught us that these types are things that make us crazy and I just wonder…

It is my hope that you find your Clairaudience and are able to develop it to an extent that it will be useful.  It really is just a matter or paying attention, being conscious or being aware.  Once do find it and can recognize it just make sure to use it because if you don’t it will sink back into the chatter of everyday life.  It is truly a gift and one I hope you can use to better your life as well as others.

Zener cards where created by Karl Zener and his colleague J. B. Rhine in the early 1930’s to conduct a more accurate psychic test.  Previously the two had been conducting tests with a standard deck of cards; however, this caused variables in their analysis.  What happens is that the subject may have a preference for a particular card and is only credited a correct answer if they guess both the number and suit of the card which results in much lower accuracy and statistical ambiguity.  The team created a set of cards that included a circle, cross, square, star and waves, however there are variations on this theme that include face of people, foods, numbers, colors, etc.

To conduct a test with the Zener cards the tester would shuffle the deck and remove a single card.  The face of the card is hidden from the subjects view as he is asked to predict the symbol on the card.  The tester takes note of the card and the subject’s response and the test continues like this until the deck is depleted.  Once the test is complete the predictions, correct or incorrect are recorded and his success is calculated.  The following is a scoring chart from their tests:

* Under 1.96 = No psychic ability
* 1.96 to 2.58= Some psychic ability
* 2.58 to 3.00= Significant psychic ability.
* Over 3.00= Very significant psychic ability.

The chart above is derived from a set of algorithms that Dr Rhine created to score the subjects on their psychic ability.  The calculation is based on the number of card sets, the number of cards in each set and the symbols associated with the set.  The student’s predictions were also taken into account along with the number of guesses, correct and incorrect responses.

With the advent of computers and technology, there are multiple ways to actually simulate these test today.  Be sure that if you choose to take these updated test that you clear you mind and try to predict, at a minimum, 100 cards.  The high number of predications will give you a more accurate result and provide an idea of your actual psychic ability.  There are many places on the Internet that offer these tests and I would suggest looking into it if you believe you have the gift.

Everyone is born with psychic ability but very few people have learned how to tap into it and experience it fully.  Generally, when people begin to sense their powers they may take a psychic test, read some books on the subject or maybe experienced some psychic event.  In this first stage of development people will begin to read more new age books, maybe begin using new age vocabulary and start to dabble in developing their basic ability.  It may be at this time that you want to understand your particular ability, please see the most often recognized abilities in our article – “The 3 Most Recognized Psychic Abilities”.  However, knowing what type of give you have isn’t enough; you must face your fear and move forward but unfortunately, this is where most give up and never reach their full potential.

As your psychic power grows, you will begin to realize that developing the actual ability is just a small part of the greater picture.  In this stage of development, of your power will allow you to feel or see what other people are thinking.  You should be able to take this information and communicate the thoughts and ideas back to them but this ability is of little use, just a nice party trick.  If you are going to be using your ability as a tool to help people then this stage is not of much use as you are only telling people what they already know.  It is at this point that most people begin to get a little afraid as it almost seems unnatural but this is far from the truth.  Tapping into your psychic power is more natural than you may think.  Once you reach this level, you most move forward and begin interacting with your “higher self”.

Once you reach stage three of your psychic development, you can begin using tools such as Tarot cards, to help communicate your divinity.  It is at this stage that if you feel the need to help others you should consider sharing your gift and helping others along their path.  Please make sure that this is a journey you want to undertake becomes with great power comes great responsibility; it will be your job as a psychic counselor to help others with integrity and respect.  You can begin enjoying your new found senses and if you take your responsibility seriously you will be successful, it is only a matter of time.

There is an extraordinary long list of psychic abilities including Astral Projection, Channeling, Psychic Healing, etc. however, we will only be discussing the three most recognized forms of psychic abilities.

* Clairvoyance
* Clairaudience
* Clairsentience

Clairvoyance – Part of the larger phenomenon known as ESP (extra sensory perception), it typically refers to manifestations of the visual field outside the realm of human senses.  Taken from the French term “clear seeing” it is one of the most popular types of psychic ability.  This “sixth sense” can be referred to as “remote viewing” and Clairvoyant persons can often see events occurring in the past and future.  The more attuned psychic can derive some detailed capabilities from their Clairvoyance such as actually seeing events that are happening at the same time in different locations.  This ability is easily measured with a simple psychic test so don’t worry if you are uncertain about your particular power, it is easily verified.

Clairaudience – This psychic ability is hearing sounds that are not audible by most people.  Psychics with this ability will often hear clearly voices, words, or other sounds that are associated with angels, spirits and even events from the higher planes.  People report that Clairaudience experiences often occur in times of stress; these stories are often similar to the one of a man that heard an inner voice telling him to drive to work instead of riding the bus only to find that his bus was involved in a severe accident.

Clairsentience – One of the most common forms of psychic ability as it refers to the act of “clear knowing”.  The inner feeling that something is going to happen and it is automatically known as the truth.  This is often mistaken as intuition by many people but is actually their psychic power showing through.  Everyone has experienced Clairsentience at some point in time but often pass it off as just a “gut feeling”.  Please don’t make that mistake, you have to recognize this moments as they come and after time you will become more aware of them.

In the beginning you will want to start easy so that you will be able to feel the energy and focus that is necessary to tap into your ability.  I suggest starting simple by practicing by yourself or with a friend and as you power grows you can start interfacing with the more complex scenarios.  Before beginning any exercise you will need to clear you mind of all negativity and daily clutter.  Remove the stresses and thought loops that my cloud your mind; when you are relaxed and clear headed you can try the psychic test listed below.

1. Try to predict the outcome of a football, baseball or basketball game (any sport will do).  First, begin by just trying to focus and predict the winner of the game and later on you can try to see the final scores.
2. Work with a friend and a standard deck of cards, trying to guess the color, number or suite.  You will be able to work your way up into predicting 2 of the two choices or even 3!
3. When you are driving in traffic, try to visualize the artist of the next song or even commercial on the radio.  Once you’ve grown adept at determining the artist you can add the artist and song an so on.
4. Another place I found that makes for good practice is when going to a meeting try to pick the color of the shirt of a person that will be there.  After a few successful predictions, start adding multiple people or the actual outfit they may be wearing.
5. Grab a friend with some a few dice and try to predict the number on one and working your way up to deriving the total.  For an even harder task, try to determine the number rolled for each dice.

There are many things to consider when looking for a professional psychic.  You have to be careful of fraudulent individuals that, unfortunately, abound in this area of expertise.  Professional psychics often specialize in particular fields and utilize various tools to channel their particular talents.  The following is a small list of the most common specializations for reference but please note there are many others.  If you do not find something on the list below that you believe will satisfy your questions then you will need to do some additional research prior to employing the services of a psychic.

Palm Reading – This is another popular choice for predicting the future, however it is not a psychic skill.  Palmistry is a learned skill that foretells the future by studying and identifying lines, wrinkles, curves, etc. of the subject’s palm.

Distant Reading – I believe that this is the most common form of psychic service today.  The psychic uses their Clairvoyance to answer questions or predict the future.  Often times, depending upon the psychic skill, the subject does not have to present for the reading to take place which is helpful when trying to remove any visual clues the reader sense if in person.

After deciding what type of psychic to choose you should begin asking friends or family for recommendations and conduct interviews with the psychic prior to arranging for a reading.  It is your future that will be at stake so be sure you are comfortable with the person who will be predicting it.  Always remember that no matter what the psychic reveals we are all in control of our own destiny, so adjust your lifestyle if you find the predictions daunting.  If you ever feel the like you may be your own psychic then you should take a psychic test to determine your power.
